Barista Oat Milk Blend

This delicious homemade barista oat milk blend is a perfect way to replace expensive cafe drinks or unhealthy plant-based milk by making it yourself.



¾ cup raw cashews (soaked)

½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes

¼ cup rolled oats

½ tsp. salt

3 cups filtered water

Iced Coffee,

2 cups coffee or decaf

2 tbsp. maple syrup

1 dash of cinnamon

½ cup homemade milk

2 cups ice cubes

Iced Chocolate milk,

¼ cup Nutella

2 tbsp. maple syrup

3 cups homemade milk

2 cup ice cubes

Strawberry Milk,

1/3 cup strawberry jam

1 tbsp. maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

3 cups homemade milk

Cinnamon Date Milk,

2 mejooled dates

1 tsp cinnamon

3 cups homemade milk


Soak the cashews for 1 – 2 hours.

Drain and rinse the cashews.

Transfer to a blender along with the coconut flakes, oats, salt, and filtered water.

Blend until smooth.

Strain through a milk bag or cheese cloth into a medium-sized bowl.

Pour into glasses and enjoy!!

OR if you are going to make one of the flavoured editions, blend the milk with the ingredients listed and pour over ice if specified. Note: the iced coffee is better if you add the milk in after the coffee if poured over ice.

Adjust flavours to taste and enjoy!!!


Save the pulp from straining to use in granola bars, muffins, or mix into your morning cereal or oatmeal!

Customize this milk HOWEVER you’d like! Choose your favourite flavour!

Use this milk, and the flavoured ones, for your cereal, in your baked goods, etc. Have so much fun with it! ALL delicious!!

You can try this recipe with any nut you wish. There are so many options!

Enjoy immediately or store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
