Fresh Watermelon + Avocado Salad

20 mins

Melon, with melon, and more melon…paired with delicious avocado, and cucumber! Who wants some fresh, delicious, and simple salad?  If you said yes then you are in for the treat of a lifetime.  If you said no, well you should have said yes.  This recipe is everything you need, and is so super refreshing.  Perfect on a hot day where you do not want to eat loads, but know you should still eat well, get in those vitamins, and healthy fats!

This recipe was inspired by my mom who loves making these types of salads!  She loves a salad that takes no time at all, and even better when the flavours are not compromised by its simplicity!

If you are looking for more simple, and easy to follow salad recipes then I suggest to check out the Salads and Greens portion of the blog!

This salad is perfect because it is:

  • Fresh
  • Creamy
  • Balancing
  • Flavourful and Citrusy
  • Healthy
  • Packed with Nutrients and Healthy Fats

Pairing well with other fresh salads, or great on its own! Great as a “wow” factor for your friends as you can easily take the ingredients with you, assemble the salad at the party, and show them just how easy it is to live, and eat well!

Fresh Watermelon + Avocado Salad

  • Author: Maria Koutsogiannis
  • Prep Time: 20 mins
  • Total Time: 20 mins
  • Yield: 1 1x
  • Category: Salad
  • Cuisine: Plant Based

  • 1 avocado, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 a watermelon, cut into cubes (I used a medium sized watermelon)
  • 1 large cucumber, cut into cubes
  • Juice from one lime
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • 5 tbsp Olive Oil – Kouzini
  • 1/2 a cup of fresh basil, finely chopped – save some for garnish
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked pepper

  1. Prepare all your veg and fruit by washing, and drying them.
  2. Now cut them, and set aside.
  3. Into a large bowl begin to add all your fresh veg and fruit.
  4. Follow with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. When you go to stir everything be sure to be gentle, and not over stir!
  6. I let my salad rest for around 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Enjoy!
