It all started about a 20 months ago when I was told I have IBS, a lot of people suffer from it that’s why I’m so surprised it’s still so shit to deal with. After months and months of agony I finally figured out my power foods that help me self medicate and Lemon my loves is one them. I put it on everything. The doctor told me it would never get better but probably worse but I’m here to tell you I conquered. Never give up on your body guys cause it doesn’t want to give up on you.

Check out this simple recipe for people who do or do not suffer from this syndrome.

A citrusy, and tangy lemonade that is perfect for self medicating, and helping your body get through those gosh awful funny pains!

  • 4 Peppermint tea bags (loose leaf tea works great too)
  • Juice of one lime
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Juice from two white grapefruits
  • 15 sprigs of mint
  • 2 litre of boiled water

  1. Let two litres of water come to boil, and add water into a large jug or bowl
  2. Add 4 tea bags into boiled water, and allow them to steep for 5 minutes
  3. Remove tea bags from water
  4. Let the tea cool for about 30 minutes in the fridge
  5. Now add the citrus juice, and mint and stir well!
  6. To garnish and make your drink look pretty you can add chopped bits of cucumber, slices of lemon or lime!
  7. ALSO! You can choose to consume this tea hot or cold. So if you prefer a hot tea just add the citrus juice immediately, but unless you can drink 2 litres of tea in one go you will have to settle for enjoying the rest cold!
  8. Enjoy!
