This was Andrew’s favourite Pizza I have made to date. That is saying a lot guys because as you all know I make a lot of comfort food, using organic foods and natural foods, and you better believe Pizza is one of them. The Mango Chilli Lime Pizza was exceptionally delicious to Andrew because that man has a thing for crunch and that is exactly what those Harvest Snaps brought to the Pizza game. Need I mention that there are hints of fresh fruit on this pizza? Thats right, those are mangoes!
So not only was Andrew completely obsessed with this Pizza but he was actually ok with the fact that “that meat” on there was not actually meat. Andrew is not huge on meat substitutes but he would not stop raving about how much like meat and how flavourful that Chilli Lime TVP was! This recipe proves that being on a plant based diet does not mean boring and plain food but instead unique and flavourful!
I had a few tricks up my sleeve with this vegan dinner recipe but one of them was completely out of my control. What, you ask yourself? Well can you believe those crunchy little Harvest Snaps (the sexy pasta looking things) are made from Black Beans and are gluten free?! The incorporation of these amazing ingredients was quite brilliant if I am honest as it added so many nutrients, plant-based protein and texture to this Pizza. If I am honest I don’t think it would have been the same without them!
You’re totally going to love this Mango Chilli Lime Pizza because it is:
crunchy + textured
packed with plant-based protein
and “junk food” done the healthy way!

2 tbsp Cashew Cream (recipe on the blog) or your favourite cheese
1 tbsp EVOO
1 – 1 1/4 cup prepared TVP
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
dash of hot sauce
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
juice and zest of one lime
1/2 cup mango, sliced
1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
garnish of sprouts, lime zest and Mango Chili Lime Harvest Snaps
Preheat your oven to 375F
Prepare TVP by placing dry product into a bowl and adding hot water. Let sit for around 5-10 minutes, stir occasionally.
Into a sauce pan add your EVOO, TVP, all spices, hot sauce, lime juice, half the zest and crushed tomatoes. Cook this mixture on medium heat for around 5-10 minutes, stir well to ensure everything is completely coated. Once ready remove from heat to cool.
Begin rolling out to your pizza dough. I like to use a bit of flour to avoid sticking.
Once you roll into desired shape gently add your cashew cheese, TVP mixture, tomatoes, and mangoes.
Bake for 20 minutes or until your have a gorgeous golden crust.
Once cooked add the rest of your zest, some fresh sprouts and your Chilli Lime Harvest Snaps!
