Ingredients
1 1/2lbslean ground beef
1large white or yellow onions, grated
4garlic cloves, pressed
1egg
3/4cupbreadcrumbs
1 1/2tbspolive oil
2tbspfresh chopped parsley
1/4cupfresh chopped mint
3tspsalt
1/2tsppepper
garnish with lemon juice and fresh herbs like mint
Instructions
Prepare the burgers (biftekia): In a mixing bowl combine the ground beef, grated onion, pressed garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, olive oil, parsley, mint, salt and pepper. Mix together to fully combine. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and use your hands to form into burger-sized patties.
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil or avocado oil, cook 3-4 burgers at a time, cooking 3-5 minutes per side until cooked through to your desired temperature.
Serve with lots of fresh herbs like mint and a squeeze of lemon juice.
