This is not a dinner-for-two situation. We’re stocking the family kitchen with pottery for mixing and serving, a French Blue Staub pot, a full knife block, Greek pantry favorites, and gift cards for whatever disappears first.

Who was eligible to enter?
The giveaway was open to legal residents of Canada, the 50 United States, and D.C. who were at least 18 years old and had reached the age of majority in their province, territory, state, or district of residence.
When did the giveaway close?
Week 5 entries closed September 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
Is newsletter signup required?
No. Newsletter signup is optional and does not affect your chances of winning.
How will the winners be selected and notified?
Eleven potential winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible Week 5 entries beginning September 17, 2026, no earlier than 48 hours after entries close. The first eligible entrant selected is the potential US$1,000 grand-prize winner, and the next ten are potential signed-book winners. We’ll email each potential winner within two business days after the drawing, and they must respond within 48 hours.
Did I need to enter every week?
Yes. Each week was a separate giveaway, and entrants needed to submit one new entry for every week they wanted a chance to win. Entries from Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 did not carry over to Week 5.
What if a prize cannot be shipped to me?
If an advertised item is unavailable or cannot legally or practically be delivered to the confirmed winner’s location, the Sponsor may replace it with an item of equal or greater value.

Entry and eligibility
The “Big Fat Greek Out Giveaway: Week 5” (the “Giveaway”) is sponsored by FOODBYMARIA INCORPORATED, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (the “Sponsor”).
No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase will not improve the odds of winning. Newsletter signup is optional. Automated, incomplete, or fraudulent entries are void.
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of Canada, the fifty (50) United States, and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and have reached the age of majority in their province, territory, state, or district of residence at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Sponsor and participating prize partners, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
The Week 5 entry period begins when the Week 5 version of this page is published on September 8, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on September 14, 2026.
How to enter
Visit this page during the Week 5 entry period and submit the official entry form with your name and email address. Limit one Week 5 entry per person and email address. Entries from Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 do not carry over. Newsletter signup is optional and does not affect your chances of winning.
Prizes
Eleven (11) Week 5 prizes will be awarded to eleven (11) separate winners. One (1) grand-prize winner will receive US$1,000 cash. Ten (10) additional winners will each receive one (1) signed hardcover copy of Greek Out by Maria Koutsogiannis. Limit one (1) Week 5 prize per household.
The approximate retail value of the grand prize is US$1,000. The approximate retail value of each signed hardcover is US$40. The combined approximate retail value of all eleven (11) prizes is US$1,400. The cash prize may be delivered by check or electronic payment at the Sponsor’s discretion. Prizes are non-transferable. The signed books may not be redeemed for cash unless required by law. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s control, the Sponsor may award a substitute prize of equal or greater value. All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
Winner selection and notification
Eleven (11) potential winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible Week 5 entries received. The first eligible entrant selected will be the potential grand-prize winner. The next ten eligible entrants selected will be potential signed-book winners. The random drawing will begin September 17, 2026, no earlier than 48 hours after the Week 5 entry period closes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Week 5 entries received. The Sponsor’s determination of the potential winners is final and not subject to appeal or change, subject to applicable law.
Potential winners will be notified by email at the address used to enter within two business days after the drawing and must respond within 48 hours after the notification is sent. Entrants are responsible for monitoring that email account, including spam and junk folders. If a potential winner does not respond in time, is ineligible, or cannot accept the prize, that prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
Potential winners may be required to provide eligibility, release, or tax documentation before a prize is awarded. Before being confirmed as a winner, a potential winner who is a resident of Canada must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor.
Releases and publicity
By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, participating prize partners, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from claims arising from the Giveaway or a prize, except where prohibited by law. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, corrupted, or undeliverable entries or for technical failures beyond its reasonable control.
Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize grants the Sponsor permission to use the winner’s first name, last initial, city, and province, territory, state, or district for winner announcements and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Privacy
Entry information will be used to administer the Giveaway and contact potential winners, and will be handled according to Food by Maria’s Privacy Policy. Marketing emails will be sent only to entrants who select the optional newsletter checkbox, and they may unsubscribe at any time.
General conditions
The Giveaway may be cancelled, suspended, or modified if fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention, or another cause beyond reasonable control affects its integrity or operation.
The Sponsor’s decisions regarding eligibility, winner selection, prize details, and administration of the Giveaway are final, subject to applicable law.
