This creamy, delicious baked goat cheese dip is the perfect starter at a holiday dinner or get together.
1 tbsp Bona Furtuna Olive Oil
1 large white onion, chopped
4 large cloves of garlic, chopped
2 cups of cherry tomatoes
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 cup of goat cheese, shaped into an oval or ball
1 loaf of bread of choice
olive oil to taste
handful of fresh chopped oregano and basil
3 tbsp. Bona Furtuna Grand Cru Olive Oil
1 tbsp. honey
Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
To a small square baking sheet of choice, add the olive oil, onions, garlic, tomatoes, goat cheese, oregano, pepper and chilli flakes. Bake for 50 minutes or until the mixture is completely bubbly and the goat cheese is golden in color.
While that bakes, cut your desired bread loaf into thin slices, coat with more olive oil and brush with a fresh garlic clove. Cook on the parchment live baking sheet for 5 minutes on each side once the goat cheese has been in the oven for 40 minutes. Remove both dishes once cooked.
To a small bowl, combine 3 tbsp. of olive oil, chopped fresh oregano and basil. Stir till combined.
Serve this oil on top of the goat cheese dip with a drizzling of honey! Dip with bread and live your best life! Enjoy!
If you are vegan, use your favourite vegan cheese! I would suggest a soft/salty cheese!
I always recommend using fresh herbs for the finishing touches!
