Gyro is meat traditionally cooked on a vertical rotisserie (or in our case an Amazon pan 😂), then sliced and served wrapped or stuffed in pita bread or pita gyro bowls along with other ingredients such as tomato, onion, fried potatoes, and tzatziki. In Greece, my family normally enjoys Gyro meat with either beef, lamb, or chicken! It’s the perfect protein to have in the fridge all week. I like pairing it with fluffy rice, my viral pita and a Greek salad! Don’t be afraid of the spice selection, I promise you it’s incredible and a combo you’re sure to enjoy!

Greeks take deep pride in their food. One thing most people don’t realize though is that what we eat is often super simple! This marinade is the perfect example of that. It’s loaded with fresh herbs and has a little pop of creaminess with the Greek yogurt. It’s simple, it’s healthy, and it’s something to have in your back pocket when you want to jazz up your fish. Try this next time you have a piece of fresh cod, halibut, salmon or trout (any fish works — even shrimp!) It will take the eating experience to a whole other level. You can even try it on a whole fish, just stuff it with the marinade and top with fresh lemon and lots of salt! Greeks love eating fish with fresh salads, warm greens, homemade bread, olives and lemon! You probably can’t just pick up and fly to Greece right now so let’s recreate Greek Fish in the comfort of your own home!

All you need is seven ingredients – ones that you probably already have in your pantry and 10 minutes of active prep time + proofing and 30 minutes of cook time! Here’s all you need — you got this bestie! DON’T FORGET TO SERVE THESE WITH TZATZIKI, GARLIC BUTTER OR even RANCH!
