Be Your Best Self
Positive Mind. Positive Vibes. Positive Life.
Here are some of my tips to keeping your life positive, and on track with your goals! You are a product of your thoughts so keep it healthy, organized and humble!
1) Surround yourself with positive people.
If you’re lucky you may find positive people with similar goals, or you may already know someone who supports you but is on a different path. But most importantly in order to be supported to must support. I think this is a very valuable key success.
2) Stay hydrated.
Drink more water, less coffee, and opt for more green tea and minimal alcoholic beverages. Keeping your body hydrated in crucial for many reasons (please check out post from last week) and vital for healthy skin elasticity, hydrated muscles, and helps keep a fresh mind for positive thoughts throughout the day.
3) Eat clean.
In order to achieve this, do a meal prep on the weekend. Plan out your days so that they’re filled with healthy and nutritious meals. So even if you do want to indulge ALL THE TIME (like I do) you have something healthy to eat 24/7. I also suggest doing some healthy baked good to ease and restrain you from you after dinner sweet tooth.
4) Get your beauty and muscle sleep.
We’re told to get 8 hours or sleep every night but I find that that is just a bit too much for me so I accommodate myself and my bodies needs. Everyone has a different schedule, especially all my nursing friends on the night shift, so just make sure when you wake up you feel at ease and satisfied by last nights shut eye, it’s all about listening to your body.
5) Hit the gym. Get active. Sweat.
Whatever the activity just do it.
Once your body starts to reap and breathe the benefits of physical activity there will come a point where you will to, and trust me, it’ll feel good. Like the old saying goes “your body is capable of anything, it’s your brain you have to convince”. So, if you don’t know where to start, hire a trainer, order a DVD, or just go watch how other people do their thing at the gym. It is important to remain consistent, so try your best to work when you can. Falling on and off the band wagon won’t help you succeed (unless you’re injured and need recovery time), and don’t forget your off days, 3-4 times a week is perfect and you better believe me when I say you’ll see results fast.
Eat clean. Train mean.
