Silver Hills Everything Bagel being pulled out of bag for a Bagel Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

Bagels – Silver Hills products are one of my go-to’s. Their bagels are soft, chewy, and made from sprouted organic whole wheat (they have 27 grams of whole grains per bagel and 4 grams of fiber)! Everything Bagels, in particular, are super delicious because I love the flavor the toppings add to the sandwich. The mix of sesame and poppy seeds, and onion, really add a lot of pizzazz to the bread and sandwich.

Onion Chutney – One thing I love to add to bagels and sandwiches is onion chutney. Chutney is a savory jam or spread and it’s great for charcuterie boards, or used on sandwiches. You can usually find it in your local grocery store in a variety of flavors so you can choose a different flavored chutney to make this your own.

How to Store Leftovers

This sandwich is best enjoyed when made fresh, however, you can build it, wrap it, and pack it for lunch. Alternatively, you can prep all the ingredients and toppings then assemble it with a freshly toasted bagel when you’re ready to eat.

Common Questions

Do I have to use cream cheese?

You don’t! You can swap the cream cheese for your favorite spread, or you can eliminate it and swap it with any cheese of your choice.

How can I make breakfast sandwiches healthier?

Use a whole-grain bagel (or bread), add a protein source of choice, and lots of fresh veggies!

Can I make these Bagel Sandwiches in advance?

I would recommend prepping all the toppings and then assembling the sandwich with the freshly toasted bagel when you’re ready to eat.
