So I've always had a mega obsession with hummus and other easy-to-make vegan dips that are perfect for snacking. They're usually really simple to make, healthy, and perfect when you're a busy bee like me and just want a quick snack. Also, they can be super great to bring to or have at a party. Who doesn't look a good platter of vegetables, crackers, dips and all that fun stuff? This red lentil hummus dip is one of my favs and is 110% plant-based. It only takes a few ingredients to make, and you'll have it whipped up in ten minutes or less! The best part that makes it better than regular hummus? The magical addition of red lentils. Yum!
Oh yes you guys! I made the best damn "Big Mac" sauce using Maille Canada Gherkins and holy shit, IT WAS AMAZING! I know a lot of us have cravings in the kitchen and for some reason mine are always related to dips and sauces, like I could put them on anything and basically replace them as a meal - oops.
Baby it is BBQ Party season and I am damn excited! These Black Bean Burgers are the perfect addition to your next gathering and I promise you that they will be the star of the show.  They are super delicious, nutritious and easy to follow! When asked about these babies you can ensure all your guests that they are made from natural food, vegetarian + vegan and even recommend the recipe for their plant based diet recipes collection! I made these last night for Andrew and he fell in love.  He said that they probably wouldn't have been the same without the homemade "Big Mac Sauce" or  Thousand Island so please do not skip out on that!
EATYOURGREENS3 It taste just like Cheese! I am not kidding. This Cashew Cream triples as the best spread, sauce and dip ever! You can quite literally use this amazing stuff in your salads, for raw veggies on in your wraps.  It has the silky consistency of cream cheese but without all the bad additives. This recipe really makes being on a raw food diet (not me) and plant based diet really easy! Raw food recipes can sometimes seem a bit fat fetched but I promise you this one is amazing and can so easily be added to another one of your favourite vegetable recipes! Of course you may be a bit hesitant to try it as it is made from cashews after all and is extremely healthy, nourishing organic food and super easy to make. But hey, I will you be the judge!
udon By now we all know that I love eating healthy food that does not cost us too much time.  This five minute Cilantro Cashew Cream is the perfect dressing, sauce, cheese and spread! I added it to my udon noodles and tarts - but this is just a fraction of the ways you can use this simple and delicious recipe!
GP Confession Friday.  Thats a thing right?  Well I hope so because I am confessing that I love Greek Style Potatoes and that they make my life a better and more happy place.  Seriously, these Greek Style Potatoes are so crispy and crunchy on the outside while staying so steamy hot and soft on the inside.  Certainly mine and Andrews favourite go-to-snack and can be made in such large quantities to please a whole family for your next feast! Truly nothing better than using a natural, organic ingredient to create a plant based, healthy and nutrient filled dish.
cashew1 Eating healthily, feeling well and staying energized over the holidays will no longer be difficult! Use these five tips to help you eat better, create beautiful platters and make more health conscious holiday choices! First, lets get some facts out in the open.  I know all you are going to eat poorly,  consume more sugar and ingest 'just a tad' more alcohol than you normally would.  That is ok, that makes you human.  I will be the first to tell you I might do the same, even if that means drinking for the 5th time in 2016 or having a cookie with refined sugar that I normally would not.  So, remember, how we choose to be balanced is up to us. So if you are anything like me and eat really well all the time then this post is going to speak to you least because you already know what it is like to eat shit food one in awhile then pay for it the next day....
corn3 Who said Grilled Corn is boring? Probably no one.  As a matter of fact I might have.  I never eat corn - but I will not get into that because my boyfriend LOVES corn.. so I when I went to the market the other day and found this organic, and beautiful corn I thought to myself "how am I going to amp up corn"? Creamy Tomato Basil Salsa! Thats how! This is certainly a side dish you want to consider taking to your next BBQ party (I used a Grill Pan - but it felt like a BBQ, ha)! It is super affordable and will turn heads on first bite! Wow your guests, and friends... and know yourself that it took no time to make, and that it is healthy!
yourtea I know what you're thinking... Your Tea Matcha, as a dressing? Yep! It worked, and it was amazing.  Not only was this a simple way to add extra nutrients to your day, but it was also a super way to add extra green plant-based flavour! Nothing screams health and wellness quite like Matcha.. so I am not sure why you are even worried about this combo.  I promise you it was fabulous. I would go as far as dipping fresh bread into this sauce, or as a sauté for Tempeh or Tofu.  It also would not hurt to try this recipe with my favourite Mediterranean Salad, or even my Everything You Need Veggie Bowl!  As you can see I enjoyed this dressing simply by taking a large zucchini and turning it to Zoodles.  The flavours in this dressing are that bold that you really do not need much to make it taste delicious!
cheesy4 Hey guys, I know I have told you all about this amazing Cheese But Not Cheese Sauce before in a recipe... but it is just so good it deserves its own very short, and sweet blog post! This stuff has hands down become my to-go sauce.  I legit put it on everything.  Grilled Veg, Pastas, and in Buddha Bowls! It is made from 5 simple ingredients, and is truly a great alternative to conventional cheesy sauces on today's market! The key ingredients in this is Nutrional Yeast otherwise known as My best friend.

"Nutritional yeast is made from a single-celled organism, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, which is grown on molasses and then harvested, washed, and dried with heat to kill or “deactivate” it. Because it’s inactive, it doesn’t froth or grow like baking yeast does so it has no leavening ability. Don’t worry; no animals are harmed in this process because yeasts are members of the fungi family, like mushrooms, not animals." Fat Free Vegan, 2016
