Ingredients:
Tomatoes: Tomatoes are such a versatile fruit that has so many health benefits. They can help ease inflammation, boost your immunity, and lower your cholesterol, and that’s just to name a few of their benefits. Throw them in salads, make fresh salsa, and cook with them, the options are endless.
Garlic: Garlic is seriously the best. Not only does it add so much flavor to this recipe, but it’s also so good for you. It’s great for immunity, blood pressure, and cholesterol, it has antibiotic properties, and more.
How to make bruschetta:
- In a small bowl combine finely chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper. Stir and let sit in the fridge to let the flavours meld together while you make the crostini.
- Preheat the oven to 400F. Using a bread knife, slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil on one side and place in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast for 10 minutes total, flipping halfway through. Use the cut side of a garlic clove and rub on the olive oil side of the crostini when you take them out of the oven.
- Serve by topping each olive oil side of the crostini topped with bruschetta and a drizzle of balsamic glaze (optional). Conversely, you could serve the bruschetta with a spoon and crostini on the side so each person can create their own crostini.

Easy Bruschetta Recipe
Ingredients
For the bruschetta
- 3-4 cups finely chopped ripe Roma tomatoes (about 7-8 tomatoes)
- 1/2 cup minced basil
- 1/3 cup minced red onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
